September 2008 : Happy Birthday Lucas!

We had a NINJA party for Lucas's 6th Birthday. He got a special Ninja suit and we made a Ninja Throwing Star cake. When it comes to birthday's I always have such great helpers. The birthday kid chooses their theme and cake (ahead of time) and then the other kids help me decorate the dining room while we isolate the Birthday Kid to their room to wait.....The wait is agonizing for them but they always love to see what surprises we have put together for their decorations. We usually dress the Birthday Kid up in an appropriate themed outfit and make them the King, Queen, or Ninja for the day.

Lucas and Eli both helped me make the 2 cakes that would become the Ninja Throwing Star.



Lucas wanted to help decorate the cake too so he was in charge of Throwing Star embellishments. Eli was a big help too and added the 6 small candles for the finishing touch.


The first gift that Lucas opened was his Ninja costume. We surprised the other kids too and gave it to him while we were alone and then dressed him up and got him ready for his debut.




This turned out to be his favorite present. He got a nerf gun and Uncle Billy helped him put it together.


And that started a Nerf war....Eli had just bought himself a smaller Nerf gun with his allowance so it became a battle between the Kids & Uncle Billy....Unlces are SOOO great to have around!
