Mother's Day Weekend

When the boys came home last friday it was beautiful weather so we packed up a picnic dinner and headed to a favorite park. We brought grandma along but since she is such a skinny minny now she was freezing so you will notice her winter hat and jacket in our pics. :) We had a great dinner and even made smores on the grill. Grandma is making great strides in her recovery and is getting stronger every day. She is walking with her cane about 35% of the time and walking on her own the rest. She is so tiny and frail but she keeps right on working. She still has oxygen but she is also working to get off of it too. It is great to see her finally making progress even though she still suffers from shingle pain.

It was a little windy but a beautiful 78-80 degrees that night but Grandma was freezing. :)
I apologize for the open mouth with food....but Eli was laughing so hard he couldn't breathe and we were having so much fun...these boys are hilarious!! And this one can really dance though he said it's just for home use. hahaha

Notice the tint of red to Noah's hair? It is his new thing though it's washing out faster than he wants so he is hoping to get it redone in a brighter red. We shall see....
This is where Lucas ate his dinner...nice and comfy...

Smores...don't worry...the sticks were just to hold the foil down to keep the heat in...they were awesome!

These two crack me up. They do a lot of projects together and Lucas is very gentle and patient with Grandma. I am so glad that she is still with us so they can learn more from her sweet heart.

Since it was our short weekend, the boys and I worked on a Mother's Day present for their mom. Our original plan didn't work out so we decided to make a photo holder. We used a wooden cut out of the word LOVE, added purple stones, her favorite flower and the wire for the photo. It was easy and looked great!

Here they are with their beautiful creation...and nice faces which are harder and harder to capture...

And here they are with the faces they were dieing to make the first time...scary...
