The weather was beautiful and we were soo excited. I'm afraid that the older I get the more the rides affect me but I did pretty well. Because it was the last weekend we stood in line for about an hour per ride but that gave us great one on one time with the kids. The conversations between a 14, 13, 11 and 9 year old are pretty hilarious too. They are quite entertaining. None of the rides seem to affect their heads and they are fearless in what they want to try.
There were a few rides that Lucas was nervous about and he wasn't sure he was ready. He skipped 2 of big roller coasters but decided that he was going to make it up to us and he tried a few rides that made him nervous. Mr. Lucky did a fantastic job and even enjoyed the new rides. The one that most amazed me was the Detonator. If you haven't heard of this ride, it is terrifying! You go from 0 to 45 mph in one second - straight up over 200 feet. He sat in between me and Scott and while we were waiting for lift off, a group of college kids noticed that he was nervous so they started to cheer him on. They were yelling, "Go little man" and clapping and it was a great distraction for Lucas. Once we took off he started screaming at the top when you are off your seat and floating but I grabbed his hand and once we got him to open his eyes to see the park he was fine. It was terrifying and fun. We were so proud of him! He tried a couple more that scared him and wanted to ride them again before we left. :)

We managed to go thru 4 of the haunted houses and they were pretty good. The best one was called Asylum Island and I got to lead the way! Lucas was right behind me holding my hand with the rest of the family lined up behind him. My poor baby was shaking like a leaf but he made it thru just fine. It's interesting to see how your kids respond in a scary situation. Noah is fearless, Eli is more cautious, Lucas is quiet and Autumn is comfortable screaming a lot! The kids did a great job and we had a lot of fun. It was a great family birthday experience! Happy Birthday Noah!
