Nine is Fine

It seems we have been celebrating Eli's birthday for weeks! We had 1 present, play time and a special dinner on his birthday and the next weekend we celebrated with Sissy. We started with swimming at "Aunt" Tweety's house with our favorite Emma. Tweety has quickly become a favorite at our house and the kids expect her to show up to dash them away for an ice cream treat at a moments notice...it has happened before...Tweety was sweet enough to surprise ME by baking Eli a delicious, homemade chocolate birthday cake and sent it home with us...with ice cream too! We had a small family party when daddy got back from treatment and Eli got to open his gifts and blow out his candles.

We can't have a party without our Sissy!

Believe it or not...this is their Serious pose... :)

Sissy was in charge of lighting the sparkler candles and getting the goods to EMan...

This is the BEST chocolate cake ever!

One of Eli's big presents was the opportunity to go thru Tween Orientation at our YMCA. Autumn, Noah & I have been working out since January and Eli has been patiently waiting for his 9th birthday to join us...so last Monday he had his appointment and was officially welcomed to our Y. I was so proud of him! He had his orientation (30 min) and then we worked out together on some weights and the treadmill. He was very excited to see how many calories he had burned while walking. He is built like his daddy and before long he will be sportin' big guns! He can't wait! He is such a hard worker and it is so much fun working out with my kids! They have each impressed me with their determination and self control!

Here is the EMan on his way to work out for the first time. Ear phones...Check...Protein snack...Check...Water bottle...Check...Awesome work out partner...Check... :)
