Friday was the big day so we celebrated with her last weekend at grandma's house. Scott was having a rough day so he ended up staying home while we made the trek to O-town. We were all disappointed that he couldn't be at the party but we are learning to be flexible when it comes to his bad days. Sissy was very understanding and smothered her daddy with love before we left. Grandma Mary and Uncle Billy helped us celebrate and the kids had a great time running thru Grandma's house. They miss their room so they had fun going thru the house reminiscing and seeing what has changed in the past 4 months.
Eli helped me light the candles on the HEART shaped cake.
(Remember our LOVEly themed weekend....we continued that love on Sunday with a Heart cake...)
Eli presented the cake to sissy while we sang...
Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday dear Sissyyyyyy, Happy Birthday to you!
I think this was Sissy's favorite present. When she was 8 she told me that you are NEVER TOO OLD for Hello Kitty!
This was Autumn's OLDEST present, EVER.
Grandma gave her a coat that my dad bought in Mexico in the late 60's/early 70's.
The coat is about 40 years old and Grandma wore it all the time when she was in her early 20's.
It fit Sissy perfectly and she LOVED it!
She is so grown up....
Here is the Birthday Gang. So glad Uncle Billy was there to PLAY with the kids.
This is ALWAYS what happens when Uncle Billy is around. He gets beat up!
The boys wrestled with him and generally kicked his booty.
I think Uncle Billy is getting too old to fight anymore!
He is in his 30th year of life you know....
We had a great time at Grandma's house and really enjoyed spending time with her. It's really weird not seeing her everyday so we are going to try and visit once a month. We miss her!
We had such a great time this past weekend with all the LOVE and celebrating. Autumn is such a sweet, sweet girl and it has been a joy for me to watch her grow and mature these last few years. We are so very proud of her BIG heart and her concern for others.
