Our friday nights are all about reconnecting, cuddling, tickling, laughing, catching up on the week and spending as much time together as we can. Since this was the last long weekend that the kids would have with grandma (before surgery) we tried to spend as much time with her as possible. We got Papa Murphy's heart shaped pizza's to bake for dinner and had a great family dinner at home. Lucas spent some extra time with Grandma helping her with her exercises and before bed we had a wrestling/tickling match that seemed to be just what the kids needed. They ALL participated...or should I say...ATTACKED us....

Friday night heart shaped dinner with red (heart) juice.

We took lots of photos with Grandma and the kids presented us with their school made Valentine's cards and gifts. By the way, this is Lucas' new photo face...he is trying hard not to blink and it always makes him look terrified...we tried to "adjust" it this weekend but he just couldn't do it...

Lucas has been a big help in getting Grandma stronger by being her exercise buddy.
On Saturday morning, I went to Krispy Kreme to get doughnuts for breakfast as a special treat. They had a special deal where you got a Valentine card/coupon for a free doughnut for each doughnut you bought...so I bought a dozen...and when Scott came home from treatment he ALSO surprised us with more doughnuts from Krispy Kreme...and more free doughnut coupons...so we enjoyed 36 yummy doughnuts all weekend long! We spent the whole day playing and hanging out and Autumn and I finally finished her purse. It took us about 4 hours total to make this project but we really like the finished product. It is super bright and very cool!
Since Scott's doctor cleared him to drive again (Yay! Yay!) he took advantage of the freedom and took his TEENAGER out to lunch on Valentine's Day. They both really enjoyed their Father/Daughter date and Autumn came home with earrings from the mall. She is getting her ears pierced next week and she is super excited. They also made a stop at another jewelry store...but I will save that for later... :)

When they got back from their date, we had her birthday party. Since it was Valentine's day, her theme was Hearts & Love. Daddy gave a little speech about his teenager (this still freaks him out) and we toasted her with our fizzy peach kids wine.
